Alpinestars’ Tech-Air® 3 Leather Airbag System is engineered to be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket, delivering advanced, practical protection for V-Twin riders, touring enthusiasts, urban commuters, and weekend riders alike. Developed using millions of kilometres of riding data and thousands of crash scenarios, the intelligent crash detection algorithm accurately determines when to deploy the airbag in critical situations such as lowsides or highsides.

When a crash is detected, the system inflates in milliseconds—reducing up to 95% of impact energy across key protection zones, including the full chest and back. Designed to protect during the “first impact,” the Tech-Air® 3 deploys before the rider makes contact with a vehicle or obstacle. Constructed from premium softened leather and equipped with a waterproof ECU and electronics, this slim, self-contained system is compatible with Tech-Air® Ready jackets as well as most leather or textile jackets with sufficient expansion space.
